DR GERTRUDE HUSS MS Aesthetics, MBCAM, DRDP, BDS

Now a leading practitioner in the field of dental and medical aesthetics, Dr Gertrude Huss first qualified from the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa, in 1993, where she was awarded the Sid Setzer Gold Medal Award for Paedodontics.

After working at a private dental practice in Johannesburg, she then left South Africa to study at the prestigious Eastman Dental Institute, University of London, and successfully completed her DRDP.

In 2022, she obtained a Master of Surgery in Aesthetics (Minimally-invasive Aesthetics) degree from University College London, ranked amongst the top ten universities in the world.

Dr Huss became a full member of the British college of aesthetic medicine in 2023, which promotes the safe, effective and ethical practice of aesthetic medicine for professional aesthetic practitioners.

In 1999, Dr Huss relocated to the Channel Islands, where she took over a prominent, established dental practice in Jersey. Following the success and demands of her growing cosmetic practice, it became apparent that a larger and more appropriate premises were required. Accordingly, she acquired and founded the exclusive Hill Street Clinic in 2008, bringing together cosmetic dentistry with advanced, minimally-invasive medical aesthetics in a professional, stylish, and discrete environment.

In 2012, the clinic was honoured to participate in the prestigious Private Dentistry Awards, where it was commended as the Most Attractive Practice and won the award for the best Facial Aesthetic Clinic in the United Kingdom.  Success followed into 2013, where the clinic was listed as one of the Most Inspiring Medical Aesthetic Clinics in the UK by Professional Beauty magazine.

Since founding Hill Street Clinic, Dr Huss has achieved outstanding recognition, cited in 2009 as one of the “Top Twenty doctors in Aesthetics” by the society magazine Tatler, and again, in 2012, when elected as one of the UK’s “Elite Twenty” Dentists by the Private Dentistry Journal. In 2013, Dr Huss attended the first Anti-Ageing Medicine European Congress, where she was awarded the European Anti-Ageing Trophy for her balanced approach to facial rejuvenation.

Internationally recognised as a prominent practitioner in her field, by both patients and colleagues, Dr Huss frequently lectured and demonstrated her knowledge at international conferences, including IMCAS (International Master Conference of Ageing Science) in Paris, WAC (World Aesthetic Congress) in London and the AAMWC (Anti-Ageing Medicine World Congress) in Monaco. In addition to this, both National and International press have repeatedly requested her expertise in the fields of medical and dental aesthetics, with Channel Television featuring her across an eight-episode make-over programme.

With more than 20 years of working in aesthetics, Dr Huss sits on the editorial advisory board for the Journal of Aesthetic Dentistry Today. She is a contributory author of the publication “Expert Consensus on Complications of Botulinum toxin and Dermal Filler treatment,” and provides regular articles to other medical and dental aesthetic journals.
