About This Project

Clenching and grinding of teeth, mostly during sleep, is known as bruxism. We believe this to be a major factor leading to headaches, damage to teeth and fillings, implant failure and even neck pain.

Most people are unaware that they clench their jaws while they are sleeping or during the day. Your teeth are only meant to be contacting with force whilst you are chewing!

Clenching your teeth while asleep, or during the day, is the result of some of the strongest muscles in your body tensing when they should be resting. This can be a major trigger for people who suffer from Migraine and Tension-Type headaches.

The MyoHealth™ Clenching Inhibitor is extremely comfortable to wear and prevents cracking or chipping of teeth and fillings and protects your expensive investment in crowns, veneer, implants and fillings. With the MyoHealth™ Clenching Inhibitor there is no more wearing away of your teeth and jaw and neck pain relief can be assisted.

Self assessment test for bruxism

  • Do your teeth touch or make contact when not chewing?
  • Have you had wear, damage or fractures of teeth, fillings or crowns?
  • Do you get headaches or jaw pain on occasions?
  • Are your jaw muscles or temples tender when pressed?
  • Do you have occasional discomfort when chewing?
  • Do you have a clicking jaw?

If you answered “Yes” to any ONE of these questions Bruxism may well be causing significant problems, and it is recommended that we discuss how the MCI appliance can help.
