How does exosome treatment work?
Exosomes are special messengers in your body that can find damaged cells and regenerate them. Doing this means they are also able to improve your skin quality and treat skin conditions caused by damaged or inflamed skin cells.
We use exosomes which come in a special solution that also includes hyaluronic acid, peptides, amino acids, vitamins and minerals that work together to regenerate skin cells.
The treatment is applied to skin through microneedling. This creates tiny punctures in your skin to allow the solution to penetrate and reach its target area.
What does the treatment involve?
Before treatment we’ll cleanse your skin to get rid of any dirt and debris, and apply a numbing cream so you don’t feel any pain. We’ll then microneedle the exosomes into your skin so they start to take effect.
How long does treatment take?
Exosome treatment takes around 30 minutes, depending on the size of your treatment area. Of course, your appointment will be longer than this to allow us time to talk you through the procedure, cleanse and numb your skin, and share aftercare advise.
You’ll need a minimum of three to five treatments spaced 14-21 days apart for the best results.
What aftercare is required?
You must try to avoid touching the treated area due to the risk of introducing infection. We also advise no alcohol, make-up or intense exercise for 24 hours.
How long do results last?
Results from exosome treatment will be noticeable after around three months and will last six months to a year. We always recommended ongoing treatment to maintain improvement.
Can I have other procedures alongside the treatment?
You can have exosome treatment on its own or alongside other procedures. It can really enhance results of dermal filler or anti-wrinkle treatment. We can talk you through the best approach for your concerns at your consultation.
