Small purple or red veins on the legs is a common problem, particularly affecting women. They can also appear on the face, the cheeks and the nose. Many people who have thread veins find them unsightly and embarrassing. Today a simple treatment called sclerotherapy is successfully being used to correct unwanted thread veins.
Sclerotherapy involves using a syringe with a tiny needle, to inject a small amount of a special solution directly into the thread vein. The thread veins will gradually fade and within 2-8 weeks following treatment some will completely disappear.
