Polynucleotides

Regenerate skin from within

Polynucleotides are clinically-proven to boost skin quality in just three treatment sessions.

The treatment uses controlled cooling to crystallise fat cells, which are then naturally eliminated from your body in the weeks following treatment. Once the fat cells are removed from the area, they are gone forever.

The device offers a non-surgical alternative to liposuction and can be used to reduce fat in areas of common concern including the abdomen, thighs, love handles, “saddle bags”, flanks, bra fat, arms and even double chins.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How do polynucleotides work?

Polynucleotides are highly-purified DNA molecules extracted from fish in a cruelty-free way. The ones we use are sourced from royal wild salmon off the coast of Alaska. They then go through a stringent purification process and are combined with an injectable gel.

When we inject this gel into your skin, it regenerates fibroblasts – your skin cells – which get damaged and don’t work as well as you get older. Regenerating them means they get back to work producing collagen, which leads to smoother, firmer, brighter skin.

What does the treatment involve?

Before treatment we’ll cleanse your skin to get rid of any dirt and debris, and apply a numbing cream so you don’t feel any pain. We’ll then inject the polynucleotides across the target area and let them get to work.

How long does polynucleotide treatment take?

Polynucleotide treatment takes around 30 minutes, depending on the size of your treatment area. Of course, your appointment will be longer than this to allow us time to talk you through the procedure, cleanse and numb your skin, and share aftercare advise.

You’ll need a minimum of three to four treatments spaced 21-28 days apart for the best results.

What aftercare is required?

You must try to avoid touching the treated area due to the risk of introducing infection. We also advise no alcohol, make-up or intense exercise for 24 hours.

How long does it take?

Here at Hill Street Clinic we’re really excited, because we’re the first clinics in Jersey to use CoolAdvantage by Allergan. This innovative new way of delivering the fat freezing treatment means that the treatment time is now from just 35 minutes. As well as being quicker, it’s even more comfortable, and delivers more effective results.

Even better, there’s no downtime or recovery period. Unlike surgical treatments, aftercare is as simple as the treatment itself. You might experience a little redness, numbness or tingling immediately after treatment, but this will pass completely, along with any swelling, in the first few weeks after treatment.

You’ll start to notice the difference as early as three weeks after your treatment, as your body starts to eliminate the fat cells, and after three months the results will be at their most dramatic.

How long do results last?

Results following treatment with polynucleotides are expected to last six to nine months. We always recommend maintenance treatments every few months for ongoing improvement.

Can I have other procedures alongside polynucleotide treatment?

Thanks to their skin quality boosting abilities, polynucleotides can really enhance results of other treatments such as dermal fillers and anti-wrinkle injections. We can talk you through a combination treatment plan during your consultation.
